Obama-Karzai Approval For ‘Tough Decisions’ On Corruption
Barack Obama, US President and his Afghan foil Hamid Karzai concur for “tough decisions” to be prepared to restraint in unbridled fraud in Afghanistan, the White House held Tuesday.
In a telephone call that White House spokesperson Robert Gibbs explained as “productive,” the leaders conversed about the choice of action required to undertake a unremitting need of clearness and responsibility among Afghan public administrators.
“The two presidents agreed on the need to make tough decisions on a range of issues, including removing corrupt officials (and) eliminating sources of corruption,” Gibbs added.
The dialogue between the two leaders came immediately ahead of a conference of Obama’s national security squad, which is anticipated to spotlight on Afghanistan and Pakistan.
The presidents highlights their pledges to offer “better access to government services” to people in Kandahar, a Taliban stranglehold where global forces are waging a high-stakes fight to retake power.
