Shahid Afridi Will Be Captain Of Pakistan Squad In Asia Cup, England Series
All-rounder Shahid Afridi will be captain of the national squad in Asia Cup during England trip; accordingly, he will be skipper of national team in tests as well after captaincy race in Twenty20 and one-dayer. Aijaz Butt , Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) that Afridi will direct the team in all three layouts in the Asia Cup and the English visit.
He supposed that Afridi had the self-reliance of all players during the world cup and that is the cause he is selected as captain now. “It is a quality of a captain that he fosters cooperation and good relations among the players while following the rules and regulations of the game. And Afridi has done all that,” added by Butt.
He discussed that the names of the 30 players operating in the English visit will be declared in the forthcoming conference. The coaching camp for the training for the series will begin from June 1 in Lahore. The Asia Cup tournament will be commenced from 15-25 June in Sri Lanka. The series against Australia and England will be started between July and August in England.
