Burgers May Promote Kids’ Asthma Threat: Study
Children who consume three or more hamburgers a week may move up their probability for asthma, the latest research recommends. However, intaking the so-called “Mediterranean diet” affluent in fruits, vegetables and fish could slash kids’ respiratory threat, the researchers declare.
“Our results support previous reports that the adherence to a Mediterranean diet, which is characterized by a high intake of fruit, vegetables and fish and a low intake of meat, burger and fizzy drinks, may provide partial protection against asthma in childhood,” said key researcher Dr. Gabriele Nagel, from the Institute of Epidemiology at Ulm University in Germany.
For the research, Nagel’s squad composed data almost 50,000 children from 20 well-off and deprived countries. Parents were inquired about their children’s distinctive diet and whether they had asthma or not. Additionally, approximately 30,000 of the kids were experienced for allergies.
